Installation Guide:

The heat pump installation can be done as a DIY project or by hiring a handyman. However, please note the following steps:

1. Bypass Valve Installation: Ensure that a bypass valve is installed, as shown in the photo provided. This valve is crucial for regulating the flow of water through the heat pump system.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         
2. Electrical Wiring: After the plumbing is completed, the heat pump unit must be hardwired into an isolator by a certified electrician. This step ensures proper electrical safety and compliance with regulations.
3. Integration with Existing Filter Pump: The heat pump can be integrated into your existing filter pump system. It will operate during the chlorinator/filtration cycles, which typically lasting about 8 hours a day for most pools. Alternatively, an after market heat pump controller can be installed so that the heat pump operates outside of chlorinator cycles.
4. Initial Heating Procedure: To heat the pool to the desired temperature initially, the filter pump needs to be manually switched on. This may take 1-2 days depending on the size of the pool and the desired temperature.
